Compression Cubes

Once I decided to try and never check a bag again I started researching packing hacks and came across compression packing cubes. This is not a new revelation, it's just taken me a while to post a blog about it. Space was going to be crucial in my tiny carry-on suitcase, so I decided on a set of cubes by Gonex. They seemed to have the most variety in sizes for the price and their reviews on Amazon were really really good. Let me tell you, those reviews were not wrong.

Within only the three largest cubes I was able to fit:
4 pairs of jeans
2 t-shirts
1 tank
1 long sleeve button up shirt
5 pairs of socks
5 pairs of underwear

This is more than enough for a long weekend trip, and in fact, I really could have gotten rid of one pair of jeans and added another shirt or two, as well as a couple more pair of socks and underwear and easily have had enough for a week-long trip.
These cubes are super easy to wash too - just wipe them down with soap and water and they dry pretty quickly as well. I did try one other brand of packing cubes, and they started falling apart pretty quickly, so while these might look a little expensive at almost $40, they are 100% worth the investment. I have crammed way to much into these cubes and have taken them around the world with me and I have not seen a single seam break or zipper pop.
